About LGeneral

LGeneral is a turn-based strategy engine heavily inspired by Panzer General.

You play single scenarios or whole campaigns turn by turn against a human player or the AI.

Entrenchment, rugged defense, defensive fire, surprise contacts, surrender, unit supply,

weather influence, reinforcements and other implementations contribute to the tactical

and strategic depth of the game.

How to install LGeneral

  1. Click Download — the developer's official website opens in a new tab.
  2. Download the latest version there and run it. Choose Custom/Advanced where offered, and skip any bundled extras.
  3. Prefer the command line? With Flatpak you can install and update it with: flatpak install flathub net.sourceforge.lgames.LGeneral
  4. Open LGeneral once it finishes installing.
