About ZAP
The Zed Attack Proxy (ZAP) by Checkmarx is one of the world’s most popular
free security tools and is actively maintained by a dedicated
international team of volunteers. It can help you automatically find
security vulnerabilities in your web applications while you are developing
and testing your applications. Its also a great tool for experienced
pentesters to use for manual security testing.
How to install ZAP
- Click Download — the developer's official website opens in a new tab.
- Download the latest version there and run it. Choose Custom/Advanced where offered, and skip any bundled extras.
- Prefer the command line? With Flatpak you can install and update it with: flatpak install flathub org.zaproxy.ZAP
- Open ZAP once it finishes installing.
