About Yancas
Yacas is an easy to use, general purpose Computer Algebra System, a
program for symbolic manipulation of mathematical expressions. It
uses its own programming language designed for symbolic as well as
arbitrary-precision numerical computations. The system has a library
of scripts that implement many of the symbolic algebra operations;
new algorithms can be easily added to the library.
How to install Yancas
- Click Download — the developer's official website opens in a new tab.
- Download the latest version there and run it. Choose Custom/Advanced where offered, and skip any bundled extras.
- Prefer the command line? With Flatpak you can install and update it with: flatpak install flathub org.yacas.yacas-gui
- Open Yancas once it finishes installing.
