About Text Pieces
Powerful scratchpad with ability to perform a lot of text transformations, such as:
Calculate hashes
Encode text
Decode text
Remove trailing spaces and lines
Count lines, symbols and words
Format JSON and XML
Escape and unescape strings
Convert JSON to YAML and vice versa
Filter lines
And so on.
The application is extendable with your own script-based actions.
How to install Text Pieces
- Click Download — the developer's official website opens in a new tab.
- Download the latest version there and run it. Choose Custom/Advanced where offered, and skip any bundled extras.
- Prefer the command line? With Flatpak you can install and update it with: flatpak install flathub io.gitlab.liferooter.TextPieces
- Open Text Pieces once it finishes installing.

Is Text Pieces free to download?
Yes. The Download button sends you to flathub.org, the developer's official site, where Text Pieces is available to download. Flatnic doesn't host or modify any files.
How do I install Text Pieces from the command line?
With Flatpak, run: flatpak install flathub io.gitlab.liferooter.TextPieces. This installs it from the official source and keeps it updated.
