About Stream Overlay
Borderless, transparent, click-through, always-on-top browser windows for streaming. For
example, you can show your Twitch chat and alerts on your display, over your game.
I made this app because I would often not notice my chat messages on my other monitor, and
I'd prefer to have them come up on the display I'm looking at, rather than only in an OBS
overlay. It's also great for single monitor streamers.
How to install Stream Overlay
- Click Download — the developer's official website opens in a new tab.
- Download the latest version there and run it. Choose Custom/Advanced where offered, and skip any bundled extras.
- Prefer the command line? With Flatpak you can install and update it with: flatpak install flathub com.hperrin.StreamOverlay
- Open Stream Overlay once it finishes installing.
Frequently asked questions
Is Stream Overlay free to download?
Yes. The Download button sends you to flathub.org, the developer's official site, where Stream Overlay is available to download. Flatnic doesn't host or modify any files.
How do I install Stream Overlay from the command line?
With Flatpak, run: flatpak install flathub com.hperrin.StreamOverlay. This installs it from the official source and keeps it updated.
Is Stream Overlay safe?
Stream Overlay downloads directly from the developer. As always, scan the installer with your antivirus and choose Custom setup to skip any bundled extras.
