Write to think, keep what matters

About Shizumu

Shizumu is a private space to think by writing. Open it and start

the sentence: there is nothing to structure first, and nowhere to

file it. You write to think, you pin what matters, and you trail

what continues. The volume of writing is not the artifact; what

you pin is. Nothing to structure first, nowhere to file it, and no pile

waiting for you when you open the app.

Pages flow into a daily memory you can scroll back through and

search by content. Pins lift the lines that matter out of the

daily stream: checklists, references, anything you want close at

hand. Trails group writing that belongs together (a project, a

book, an ongoing thread of thought) without forcing you to design

a structure first, and the first time you put a page on a trail,

the pins you already kept there come back onto the page. Continuous

trails are the one intentional exception: when a single thread

should genuinely keep growing, you choose to trail it.

The editor is keyboard driven. Type / for a table, a chart, an

outline or a block of code; type @ to reach a page, a pin or a

trail. Ctrl+K opens the trail index, Ctrl+P pins from the cursor,

Ctrl+F finds, and a shortcuts panel lists the rest.

Local-first by design. Everything stays on your device, in a SQLite
