About Poedit

Translation editor for gettext (PO files), XLIFF, Qt, JSON and more.

It helps with translating applications or WordPress themes and

plugins into other languages, as well as with developing

localizable applications.

How to install Poedit

  1. Click Download — the developer's official website opens in a new tab.
  2. Download the latest version there and run it. Choose Custom/Advanced where offered, and skip any bundled extras.
  3. Prefer the command line? With Flatpak you can install and update it with: flatpak install flathub net.poedit.Poedit
  4. Open Poedit once it finishes installing.
