About Pippy

Pippy allows the student to examine, execute, and modify simple Python programs. It's possible to write Python statements to play sounds, calculate expressions, or make simple text based interactive games. It also includes PyGame examples and a tutorial for GTK basics.

How to install Pippy

  1. Click Download — the developer's official website opens in a new tab.
  2. Download the latest version there and run it. Choose Custom/Advanced where offered, and skip any bundled extras.
  3. Prefer the command line? With Flatpak you can install and update it with: flatpak install flathub org.sugarlabs.Pippy
  4. Open Pippy once it finishes installing.
