About Password Safe

Password Safe is a password manager. It stores your passwords in an encrypted file, allowing you to remember only one password (the "master password"), instead of all the username/password combinations that you use. For extra security, you can use a Yubikey device to provide two-factor authentication.

Password Safe runs on Windows, Linux, macOS and FreeBSD.

How to install Password Safe

  1. Click Download — the developer's official website opens in a new tab.
  2. Download the latest version there and run it. Choose Custom/Advanced where offered, and skip any bundled extras.
  3. Prefer the command line? With Flatpak you can install and update it with: flatpak install flathub org.pwsafe.pwsafe
  4. Open Password Safe once it finishes installing.
