About OptimusUI
This is a graphical user interface for Laptops with nVidia Optimus Technology (eg. switchable Graphics).
The application is most useful on older nvidia GPUs featuring the Pascal micro architecture like GTX 10
series or older as these lack proper power management using the proprietary nvidia driver. OptimusUI
requires a
supported prime tool like SUSEPrime, nvidia-prime, fedora-prime-select or nvidia-prime-select to be
installed on the host system.
How to install OptimusUI
- Click Download — the developer's official website opens in a new tab.
- Download the latest version there and run it. Choose Custom/Advanced where offered, and skip any bundled extras.
- Prefer the command line? With Flatpak you can install and update it with: flatpak install flathub de.z_ray.OptimusUI
- Open OptimusUI once it finishes installing.
