About NeoChat
NeoChat is a chat app that lets you take full advantage of the Matrix network. It provides you with a secure way to send text messages, videos and audio files to your family, colleagues and friends.
NeoChat aims to be a fully featured application for the Matrix specification. As such everything in the current stable specification with the notable exceptions of VoIP, threads and some aspects of End-to-End Encryption are supported. There are a few other smaller omissions due to the fact that the Matrix spec is constantly evolving but the aim remains to provide eventual support for the entire spec.
Due to the nature of the Matrix specification development NeoChat also supports numerous unstable features. Currently these are:

How to install NeoChat
- Click Download — the developer's official website opens in a new tab.
- Download the latest version there and run it. Choose Custom/Advanced where offered, and skip any bundled extras.
- Prefer the command line? With Flatpak you can install and update it with: flatpak install flathub org.kde.neochat
- Open NeoChat once it finishes installing.

Is NeoChat free to download?
Yes. The Download button sends you to flathub.org, the developer's official site, where NeoChat is available to download. Flatnic doesn't host or modify any files.
How do I install NeoChat from the command line?
With Flatpak, run: flatpak install flathub org.kde.neochat. This installs it from the official source and keeps it updated.
Is NeoChat safe?
NeoChat downloads directly from the developer. As always, scan the installer with your antivirus and choose Custom setup to skip any bundled extras.
