About JamesDSP
JamesDSP is an advanced audio effects processor initially developed for Android devices by James Fung. It has been ported to Linux by Tim Schneeberger.
This package only supports PipeWire. Please check the README for the legacy PulseAudio version.
This app provides various sound effects for PipeWire systems. It offers features such as automatic bass boost, dynamic range compression, reverberation, equalizers, surround effects, stereo wideness control, parametric equalization, scripting engine, and more. Users can also create their own audio effects using the EEL2 scripting language supported by the app. The app includes a minimal scripting IDE with syntax highlighting, code completion, and some debugging features.
The app icon used in the FlatHub store was made by Papirus (https://github.com/PapirusDevelopmentTeam/papirus-icon-theme).
How to install JamesDSP
- Click Download — the developer's official website opens in a new tab.
- Download the latest version there and run it. Choose Custom/Advanced where offered, and skip any bundled extras.
- Prefer the command line? With Flatpak you can install and update it with: flatpak install flathub me.timschneeberger.jdsp4linux
- Open JamesDSP once it finishes installing.

Yes. The Download button sends you to flathub.org, the developer's official site, where JamesDSP is available to download. Flatnic doesn't host or modify any files.
How do I install JamesDSP from the command line?
With Flatpak, run: flatpak install flathub me.timschneeberger.jdsp4linux. This installs it from the official source and keeps it updated.
