About Franz

Franz is a desktop client for Apache Kafka and other Apache Kafka-compatible brokers like RedPanda.

Use it to inspect and modify the state of your cluster, search for your data, modify consumer groups and more.

How to install Franz

  1. Click Download — the developer's official website opens in a new tab.
  2. Download the latest version there and run it. Choose Custom/Advanced where offered, and skip any bundled extras.
  3. Prefer the command line? With Flatpak you can install and update it with: flatpak install flathub io.defn.Franz
  4. Open Franz once it finishes installing.
