About AbiWord

AbiWord is a free word processing program. It is suitable for a

wide variety of word processing tasks but remain focused on word

processing.

AbiWord is meant to remain relatively lightweight and support

many file formats.

How to install AbiWord

  1. Click Download — the developer's official website opens in a new tab.
  2. Download the latest version there and run it. Choose Custom/Advanced where offered, and skip any bundled extras.
  3. Prefer the command line? With Flatpak you can install and update it with: flatpak install flathub com.abisource.AbiWord
  4. Open AbiWord once it finishes installing.
